Ike Turner Dead at 76

Performer Ike Turner died in San Marcos, CA, according to the Associated Press. He was 76. Turner, ex husband of singing legend Tina Turner, was a Grammy Award winner and collaborated with many artists including the Elton John, Chaka Khan and the Rolling Stones, although his image was forever tarnished after allegations of domestic violence and drug abuse.
Tina Turner’s representative released a statement regarding the death of the soul singer’s ex-husband, Ike: “Tina is aware that Ike passed away earlier today. She has not had any contact with him in 35 years. No further comment will be made.” Tina has no love for that man…I can’t say I blame her. A respectful RIP to you Ike.
